Binhthuan Province

Binhthuan is a coastal province of Southern Central Vietnam with over 192 km of coastline; natural area: 7,849km2; population: over 1,000,000, composed of many different ethnic groups. Being in an important position, the gate for socio-economic cultural exchange between Eastern South Vietnam, Southern Central Vietnam and Western Highlands, Binhthuan has many favorable conditions for economic development and tourist potential enhancement.

Binhthuan is quite important in Vietnam's history, as it was because of this area that in 1306 King Tran Nhan Tong agreed to the marriage of princess Huyen Chan to King Jaya  Sinhavarman III of the Cham Kingdom. During the revolution against the French, it was in  this area that the two patriots Phan Chu Trinh and Tran Quy Cap had their start.

Binhthuan is known for beaches of beautiful landscape, and pure and pristine environment such as Ca Na, Cu Lao Cau Island, Mui Ne, Hon Ba Island, Doi Duong Beach .... and other historic and cultural relics of unique architecture such as Duck Than Relics Area, Poaching Champ Tower, Co Thatch Pagoda ..... all have constituted the significant factors to enhance the tourism status of Binhthuan, at present and in the future.

Binhthuan is a coastal province located east of Ho Chi Minh City. Eight ethnic minorities populate this area: Kinh, Cham, Hoa, Tay, Nung, RaGlai, and Ma. The weather in Binhthuan is quite favorable for organizing tourism activities. This is a highly-sun drenched region with low and focused rainfall, and yearly average temperature of approx. 26.3 to 27.5 Degree Celsius.
